The Museum for Modern Art in Frankfurt, short MMK, already got very into the focus of lifestyle and fashion internet scene for its anticipated innovative – because in traditional art history boundaries crossing – exhibition Not in fashion which documentates a change in lifestyle in the 1990s via fashion photography. Part of the exhibition are big names like Wolfgang Tillmans, Mark Borthwick, Corinne Day und Anders Edström and many more.
In this context I just wanted to draw the attention to their wide range of events joining the exhibition:
Tonight the between fashion and art positioned German design duo Bless will give some pieces of their collections to the visitor who’s got the best explanation why he has to have the piece.
Tomorrow, on Sunday there’ll be a fashion show of Kostas Murkudis in collaboration with installation artist Carsten Nicolai and others. These events make the strong relation of high fashion and art in our days visible and maybe awake a new conscience for fashion as an art form – expressing zeitgeist, like other art forms, architecture for example.
