Robert Johnson Book Release - 13 Years of Club Culture

The name Robert Johnson can serve as an reliable tool to get a feeling about people’s taste for music. The older ones and jazz lovers will have the melodies of Mississippi’s blues legend Robert Johnson in their head, the younger generation that found their passion for music in the 90’s techno and house clubs, will come with associations like “wooden dance floor”, “sunrise over some abandonat industrial port at the Main”, “infinite after-hours” and a “stetic flow of high quality electronic music.”

The club Robert Johnson is an uniqueness. While he was crowned to one of the best clubs, over all the years it managed to maintain a familiar and not agitated atmosphere. A relaxed crowd of people that are not to hip to dance and to smug to have a fun night out. We already introduced Ata to you and because we are lovers of books that are made with passion we want you to take a look at Come on in my kitchen - a book that captures the mythos Robert Johnson from it’s very beginning until today.

Luckily my dear Fiona from Spotding and Trevor from GOOD+UP were around to take some pictures of Paul, Laura and me.

In the first pictures with Paul I’m wearing an Isabel Marant Etoile dress, a Céline bag and vintage silver bracelets from different flea markets and my grandmother.

Together with Laura the other day …

#1 Vladimir Karaleev at his best!

#2 and #5 Hien Le presentation. I love the colours, knits and not to forget the music (including the track Under my spell from the movie Drive).

#3 and #6 My constant Fashion Week companions: Céline bag, cuffs from Mali and Isabel Marant boots.

#4 Laurèl show. Fur stoles and sequin dresses match perfectly.

Watch the fantastic video for a new Lauer track 70000ac made by Frankfurt based artist Holger Wüst. The video is compiled of pictures from the German movie Die flambierte Frau from 1983 which match the eighties vibe of the track is perfectly. The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin started this morning and I’m looking forward to the next days which will be packed with shows, presentations and parties! Amongst them my favourites: Vladimir Karaleev, Hien Le, Kaviar Gauche, Lala Berlin and Issever Bahri. Neither will I miss the Soto x Stussy x Holden party at Flamingo tonight nor the Broken Hearts Club tomorrow!

Zign was so kind to send me these loafers to be perfectly prepared for Fashion Week!

My friend Laura and I had a lovely afternoon with Anthropologie at Barcomi’s (they serve the best cakes in town). Anthropologie invited to celebrate the opening of their German online shop. We enjoyed the delicious drinks and finger food and had fun decorating cookies in shape of dresses, shoes and bags with sugar icing and candy!
